Today I am participating in the ESAD (more info on the group below) Retirement Blog Hop with many of our other talent members. This card is an old favourite using the retiring Celebrate Today stamp set and was very well received when I taught it a few years ago in a class. I showed them how to use the Ghosting Technique to stamp onto Crumb Cake card stock in colour without discolouring the original ink. It is as simple as stamping in Whisper White ink drying it then stamping with desired colour over the to give true colour.
On this card I used Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and So Saffron. I added the polka dot to the balloons in Whisper White ink. I added the Bow and Birthday on the sentiment strip in Archival Basic Black Ink. I used a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to add the ballon strings. To finish the sentiment I added birthday in Bermuda Bay and used the Triple Banner Punch to flag the end.
