Lovey As A Tree, Hardwood and Merry Christmas to All April Christmas Stampathon 2019

The Christmas Stampathon 2019 is up to our April Challenge is an Inspiration Challenge and we have a fantastic image to work from below. I have worked with Stampin' Up! Hardwood, Lovely as a Tree and Merry Christmas To All stamp sets along with Merry Christmas Dies and Stampin Write markers. I took inspiration from the Christmas Tree image to create the card. Stamping off to create the background, Heat embossing and die cutting to create a mixed sentiment and a Stampin' Write Marker to Highlight the tree trunk and branches. Colours used Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso Smokey Slate, Copper and Whisper White.

The Christmas Stampathon 2019 is a venture with three of my Demo buddies Ruth Trice 'Artful Stampin' from the UK, Denise Garrison 'Lady Bug Stampin' from USA, Rosalie Desmond from Australia for use ally to be a bit more ready for the busy Christmas season.

Lots of Lavender, Hardwood with Bundle of Love Paper

I am swinging by with a super quick card today! And it really was quick to make using the Sale-A-Bration 2018 Lots Of Lavender stamp set from Stampin' Up! along with the Hardwood background stamp and Bundle of Love Paper for a Pop of Gold.

The colors I used for my stamping are Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzaz and Daffodil Delight and Archival Basic Black all stamped on Shimmery White Card stock with a Soft Sky Wash using an Aqua Painter o make the image pop.

I used the Bundle of Love Speciality paper to layer this stamped piece with. To add a touch more purple to tie it all together I tone on tone stamped the Hardwood background stamp in Wisteria Wonder ink onto the same card stock and attached it to a Thick Whisper White card base.

Cake Soiree Bundle with Hardwood Card

Do you ever have a crafting session when nothing works? Well that was me making this card. I was  very happy happy when it finally came together but there was lots of cursing my friends husband Matt who set us a #mattschallenge. The challenge is to use Vellum,  wood grain stamp, leaf embossing folder, Rich Razzleberry ink. I used the Cake Soiree and Hardwood stamp sets from Stampin' Up! as a starting point to create this card.

The Hardwood stamp is stamped in Sahara Sand on Whisper White card stock matted on Rich Razzleberry card stock. I made my faux leaf embossing piece by cutting a leaf from the Petals and More Thinlits attached to a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut with Stitched Shapes Framelits as well as a piece of Vellum and Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. The cake from Cake Soiree is gold heat embossed on Sweet Sugarplum card stock cut it with the matching Sweet Cake Framelits in the Big Shot and added some colour and shading with Rich Razzleberry ink and a Blender Pen. I also cut some Gold Foil accents also using the Sweet Cakes Framelits to add some accents. To create the base I used a Sahara Sand card base, strip of Gold Foil and Sweet Sugarplum card stock.

Sheltering Tree, Thoughtful Banners with Hardwood Masculine Card

I have finally got around to making a card ready for Father's Day and wanted to share it with you. I have uncovered and dusted off my Sheltering Tree stamp set from Stampin' Up! to make this card. I made the card more useful for any occasion using the Thoughtful Banners stamp set, this et also includes a Happy Father's Day sentiment.

I started making this card by using the Sheltering Tree stamp set and stamping the tree on Whisper White card stock using Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, and Early Espresso inks, the second tree I stamped off to create a sense of perspective. I used to swoosh for the ground in Tranquil Tide and Sky in Soft Sky inks. I layered this piece over a Whisper White card stock Hardwood embossed piece that I made using the Big Shot. Both these pieces were matted onto Early Espresso card stock and attached to a Tranquil Tide card base. I stamped the sentiment and frame from the Thoughtful Banners stamped onto Lemon Lime Twist card stock using Tranquil Tide and Early Espresso inks punching it using the Classic Label punch adding this using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Carols of Christmas Card and Early Release

I am very excited for Christmas to come Early this year in the form of The Carols Christmas Bundle that is available a WHOLE MONTH EARLY ahead of the release of the Holiday Catalogue next month. I am totally in love with the font of the sentiments in the set and also the dies they are just so versatile. Here is a card that I have made using just the Carols of Christmas stamps in the Bundle along with the with Hardwood Stamp Set

I started this card by stamping the Hardwood background stamp in Sahara Sand ink on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped the Deck the Halls sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink also on very Vanilla card stock and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits in The Big Shot and layered it with a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock also in the Big Shot using the layered Square Framelits. I added the accent stamp piece above and below the sentiment in Always Artichoke ink as well as the cluster of ornaments on the hardwood stamped paper in the same ink. The "the" from the sentiment is stamped on Always Artichoke card stock in matching ink which I hand trimmed out and adhered over the Cherry Cobbler one. I stamped a second cluster of Ornaments in Cherry Cobbler ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock and cute them out in the Big Shot using the coordinating Card Front Framelits  adhering them using Mini Dimensionals and coated using the Fine Tip Glue Pen to give some sheen and shine.

Wedding Card - Double Take, Hardwood, Banners for You

Today I am participating in an International Blog Highlight. The Theme is Wedding. I created this card using two of the the Retiring 2015-2017 In Colours Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macron as well as the Double Take stamp set which I embossed in gold and added the Mint Marcon shadow on Vellum. I finished the sentiment using the Banners for You stamp set and matching Bunch of Banners Framelits. I created the background using the Hardwood stamp with Whisper White Ink on Tip Top Taupe card stock. I finished the card by adding a Gold Foil rose using the Rose Garden Thinits with the Precision Plate in the Big Shot and some Linen Thread.

Jolly Christmas and Hardwood Stamps with Wonderful Wreath Framelits Christmas Card using Mojo Monday 420 Sketch

I am still very much in love with the Deer from the Jolly Christmas Stamp set

I started with the Mojo Monday Sketch for this card and decided I wanted to use both the Deer and the Hardwood Stamp set which I stamped in Sahara Sand on our Thick Whisper White Card. I next wanted a piece of green patterned paper which I found in Old Olive from the Pretty Petals Designer Paper Stack and a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper for a pop. 

To create the tag I cut a 2" piece of Whisper White paper and punched the tag top with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. I then stamped the deer in Soft Suede. I took a few lengths of Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine for the top of the tag and added a Silver Metallic Thread how under our stunning Iced Rhinestone Embellishment to finish the top of the tag off. 

To complete the bottom I rounded both corners with our Project Life Corner Rounder Punch. I finally created the dimensional Joy from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits by cutting various Real Red Joys and adhering then together with the Red Foil Joy on top to finish it off.

Hardwood with Lovely As A Tree and Really Good Greetings - Masculine Card

A simple Masculine card to share with the men in your life

I have made this card recently at some of parties to show just easy it is to make a card with 2 pieces of A4 card stock and a cool marker technique - Thumping

I started to make the card by cutting the Chocolate Chip A4 Card Stock in half and scored with the Stampin' Trimmer. Next I cut the Very Vanilla A4 Card Stock into quarters. One of the quarters I have cut slightly smaller and stamped the Hardwood stamp with Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pad. I then took the Lovely As A Tree stamp and my Stampin' Write Markers. I coloured the whole image first with my lightest green Pear Pizzazz with the brush tip. I then took the Chocolate Chip maker and coloured the trunk and some of the branches in the tree. Next I took Old Olive and Garden Green Marker and thumped the brush end of the marker over the tree to create a variegated green. To rehydrate the ink on the stamped I huffed on it then stamped onto the left over Very Vanilla A4 Card Stock. To make the multi colour Really Good Greetings I used the same markers and coloured the words with the brush end then repeated my huffing and stamped it under the tree. I then cut down the the image adhered it to the left over Chocolate Chip A4 Card Stock and trimmed it down. To finish I arranged and adhered all the pieces together and the card is done ready to give that special man in your life.
