No Bones About It, Party with Cake and Gorgeous Grunge Card

This card is CASED from Kelly Kent's version I found on Pinterest. I made it for my youngest son's 11th birthday. As you might be able to tell he is a HUGE dinosaur and Jurassic Park fan. I have used Basic Black, Basic Gray, and Real Red. The background is stamped with Gorgeous Grunge and the sentiment with Party with Cake. I added the 11 using the Date It stamps and punched it out using a circle punch to finish the card.

Balloon Adventures, No Bones about It GDP073 Card

I really wasn't sure about this weeks colours for the Global Design Project - Watermelon Wonder, Emerald Envy and Daffodil Delight. I had chosen some stamps already and they didn't work. So I just took another look at my stamps and the No Bones about It stamp set jumped out at me and I paired it with with Balloon Adventures for a fun twist which was inspired by a card my friend Vicki Allanson did with the Baby Bear set recently.

This card is all about 2 Step Stamping and Stamping Off ink colours with both stamp its for a tone on tone look with the Dinosaur and the Balloons. I have added some cute touches with the party hat and banner. I had to #loveitchopit with the 2016-2018 Envelope Paper to use as a layer which is also 2 toned just like my card. the envelope paper is also thinner o it doesn't add bulk to the card.

No Bones About It stamp and Go Wild paper with GDP #030

It has been while since I posted due to last week being a shorter week and work and getting my tax getting in the way.

But It is a new week and I am back with a NEW card using this weeks challenge which is a sketch challenge from the Global Design Project

To start the designing process I chose the Go Wild Paper Stack and the No Bones About It stamp set. I chose the 2 patterns used on this card and trimmed the black and white pattern to slightly larger than a card front and attached to a Thick Whisper White card base and trimmed the excess patterned paper. To create the banner I measured the dinosaur I used and made the Whisper White card stock a touch wider and then the Tip Top Taupe striped piece half a centimetre wider than that again. I stamped the dinosaur from No Bones About It in Cucumber Crush and added the sentiment in Archival Basic Black ink also from the set. I edged both pieces in Tip Tip Taupe Ink and adhered them together. I cut a leaf from the Botanical Builder Framelits set in the Big Shot using Tip Top Taupe card stock. I them added detail using the Botanical Blooms stamp set in Cucumber Crush ink and attached the pieces the back of the patterned paper and stamped piece. This whole piece was them adhered to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I finished the card by stamping the inside. You can see this on the below video.

You can watch a video and chat on how I made these cards on Periscope till 5pm Wednesday 6th April or on Katch.

No Bones About it, Layered Letters and Back to Basics Alphabet and Go Wild Paper Birthday Card

We have a big birthday in the house today and I needed a card to match

My littlest big boy has always loved dinosaurs and requested I use the No Bones About It T-Rex for his birthday card when I got the set many many months ago so I had to use it and I do love this set.

I started by stamping his name in Lost Lagoon and Island Indigo with the Layered Letters Alphabet, I them stamped the T-Rex sillouette in Wild Wasabi and the skeleton and sentiment in our new Archival Basic Black Ink to finish the panel off I added a party hat to the T-Rex and stamped 10 with the Back to Basics Alphabet and punch it out with our 3/4" circle punch.

To create the background I started with a piece of the Go Wild Designer Series paper Pack and stamped the vines and leaves using the same ink colours in full and stamped off strengths.

I can report he LOVES his card
