Serene Scenery with Scenic Sayings and Detailed Dragonflies Card #GDP080

I have had a head cold this week so I am keeping it simple with my cards, it's all my foggy brain can handle. I took on this weeks Global Design Project 080 Case the Designer - the designer is the amazing Louise Sharp. I was inspired my neglected stamp set Scenic Saying and the congrats stamp sun rays that I took the Serene Scenery Paper Stack design with the matching rays to use s my background. I stamped the congrats in Delightful Dijon ink on Whisper White card stock and cut it out using Stitched Shapes Frameilts as well a vellum circle in the larger size. I also took the bee from Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits and cut it in the Big Shot using the Precision Plate out of vellum and coloured it with Delightful Dijon Ink. I added a off cut of the Serene Scenery paper and added the reverse pattern to ground the sentiment.

I used the off cut from the Paper Stack to decorate the inside of the card using a sentiment from Banners for You on Vellum punched out with the Banner Punch.

Shine On and Pretty Petals Paper Card using Mojo Monday #442 with Video

I have wanted to use the cloud pattern in the Shine On Specialty Paper for ages so much so the pack has been siting on my desk waiting. Today was the day with the Mojo Monday Sketch and Pretty Petals Paper Stack

I started this card with the foiled cloud patterned paper from the Shine On Specialty Paper the size of a card front.  I decided to use a piece of Vellum as the second layer so I wouldn't loose the clouds in the specialty paper but there is still a layer. Next I chose the 2 patterns from the Pretty Petals 6x6 Paper Stack and trimmed the smaller pattern into a small rectangle and Punched a 2 1/2" circle from he large floral pattern as per the Mojo Monday sketch. I grabbed my snaps of silver glimmer paper and punch a flag end with the Banner Punch on a thin piece. I attached the patterned paper and glimmer paper pieced to the Vellum piece and then I used adhesive behind these pieces to where the vellum to the card so you can't see the adhesive. To finish off the card I adhered the card front to a Thick Whisper White card and  tied a piece of Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon into a bo and attached it to the card with a glue dot.

Party with Cake Stamp Set and It's My Party Paper with Mojo Monday 436 with VIDEO

This week's Mojo Monday Sketch had me knowing what I wanted to make right from the start this week. It was the cake slices from the Party With Cake Stamp Set

I have chosen my stamp set Party With Cake and next I chose the paper from It's My Party DSP Stack. I chose the Patterns according to the sketch, I trimmed the background and punched the circles using the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. Next I stamped 3 of the cake slices in Basic Black Archival Ink and one in Melon Mambo. I coloured in the Melon Mambo slice with Sahara Sand, Crushed Curry and Mint Macron Stampin' Write Markers. I hand cut all the slices out using out Paper Snips. Next I stamp'ed the sentiment in Melon Mambo onto Whisper White card stock and made the flag and using the banner punch. (more info in the video) . I edged all the pieces in Sahara Sand Ink and adhered the according to the sketch. For finishing touches added the Bakers Twine and Wink of Stella on the coloured slice.
