Big On Birthdays, Watercolor Pencils on Vellum and Floral Boutique Paper Card

I am always happy to earn free stamps and I was able to get the beautiful Big on Birthdays stamp set recently and this stamp instantly stood out to me and I just had to play with it. I stamped the sentiment on Vellum in Night of Navy and clear embossed it using the Heat Tool. The flowers were crying out for some colour so I took my Watercolour Pencils and coloured the back of the vellum and I adore how it turned it when backed with Whisper White card stock. I layered the card with Floral Boutique Pattered paper and for a Finishing touch some Basic Pearls.

Irresistibly Yours Speciality Paper, May Flowers Thinlits #CTD431

I adore the colours in this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge #431 and it was set by one of my favourite crafters Amy Rysavy. I cased the card from one I saw in my Pinterest scrolling by Carol Payne. I am trying really hard to use and #loveitchopit with all my Designer Series Paper before the end of the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue. I have used the Irresistibly Yours Speciality Paper along with the Ink Blending Technique without the splattering in Garden Green and Mint Macron ink to reveal the beautiful emboss resist pattern on the paper. I took the beautiful May Flowers Thinlits and cut some out in Perfect Plum and Garden Green using the Precision Plate in the Big Shot and Die Brush. I stamped the sentiment  Big on Birthdays on Vellum in Soft Suede and attached it with the help of the Metallic Enamel Shapes to add some shine.

Big on Birthdays with So Detailed Thinlits Card

I wanted to experiment with the the So Detailed Thinlits and this card was the result. If I were to make it again I would emboss the background Tip Top Taupe piece with the Falling Petals Embossing Folder just a add that subtle texture. I cut and layered a Mint Macron Layer on top of a Wisteria Wonder layer slightly off set to create a shadow. I stamped the Happy Birthday from Big on birthdays and flagged the ends with the Banner Triple Punch and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

My final touch was to add Wink of Stella to the Thick  part of the sentiment and the So Detailed die cuts.
