Santas Workshop Memories and More Cards

I love an easy card making session and I did that with absolutely No Stamping at all!!! using the Santas Workshop Memories and More Cards, Matching Envelopes and Enamel Shapes. I easy made all these 15 cards in just over an hour with plenty of left over supplies.

These Memories and More cards are not only great for these cards bur also memory keeping or a December Daily style album. They come with a few stickers sheets that I have used to accent the cards and add more sparkle. I have also added the matching enamel shapes for and extra texture and shine.

I am hoping my teenage boys will make some these up for their teachers and friends. They are really that easy!!!!

Watercolor Christmas with Stampin' Blends

Say hello to a new world of colourful creativity! Meet Stampin’ Blends, artist-quality alcohol markers in 12 exclusive Stampin’ Up! colours. The Stampin' Blends will be available individually and pairs but work best when using the light and dark pair of colours available in 12 of our amazing colours. To cover all the blending bases, we’re also offering a limited-time 16-card project kit and stamp set with beautiful line-art images. I really happy to have these available for you to purchase. They have made my colouring so much quicker and easier even a simple card like this using the Watercolour Christmas stamp set.

To make this card I have stamped the 3 trees using the Watercolor Christmas stamp set with Memento Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock, this is the ink we recommend to use with Stampin' Blends. Be sure to let it dry before you start colouring as it might smear. I coloured the trees using Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry and Pink Pirouette. The way I find easiest to colour is to used the lightest marker over half the image added the darkest marker over most of the legated and then blended over the whole image with the lightest marker to create a shaded image. I added the sentiment from the same Watercolor Christmas stamp set in Rich Razzleberrry ink. I matted this coloured in piece with Soft Sky card stock onto a Crumb Cake card base. As a finishing touch I added two silver stars from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

Birthday Delivery with Balloon Celebrations Birthday Card

Since I have been sending out a whole lot of Birthday cards this year. I am starting to run low especially in more masculine cards. So I took Ballon Celebrations Stamp set from Stampin' Up! to make a simple generation stamped background.

I stamped the solid balloon from the Balloon Celebration stamp set starting with a row of Dapper Denim ink balloons a Thick Whisper White card base, the second row is stamped off once and the last row is stamped off twice creating an ombre look. The Happy Birthday is from the Birthday Delivery Stamp set and is stamped in Emerald Envy ink. I also stamped a Emerald Envy balloon on Vellum and punched it out once dry with the Balloon Bouquet Punch and added the balloons to the card using Glue Dots and finished by adding strings using the Black Metallic Thread to the balloons and attaching the end to swirls on the sentiment. For a finishing touch I added a few silver Metallic Enamel Shapes to the bottom of the card.

Merry Little Labels with Merry Music Paper and Foil Snowflakes

I like to add some shine and different textures to Christmas cards as it reminds me of all the different textures that we decorate with at Christmas time. In the card I used the Merry Little Labels stamp set from Stampin' Up! as a starting point to build the card.

I stamped the "Eat Drink and be Merry" sentiment from the Merry Little Labels in Versamark then Gold Embossing on a Watercolor Paper Tag that I punched using the Scalloped tag Topper Punch. Next I added a watercolour wash using Cherry Cobbler Ink and an Aqua Painter brush, once dry I layered it onto a Foil Snowflake. The card base is Cherry Cobbler card stock which I layered with 2 pieces of Merry Music Speciality Paper. I added some of the Red Mini Tinsel trim to the hole in the tag adhering it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. For a final touch of shine I added some of the Gold Enamel Shapes to the Tag from the Metallic set.

Paint Play Anniversary Card - GSF Blog Hop

Over at Global Stamping Friends we are having a Special Anniversary Blog Hop. It is not very often that I give an anniversary card but it is very special time no matter what type it is. Today's card I have made a generic anniversary card ready for the next anniversary that comes up. I have used the Paint Play stamp set from Stampin' Up! which is quickly becoming a firm favourite of mine.

This whole card is stamped!!! I know it would have been easier grabbing a piece of our beautiful Designer Series Paper but I do love creating my own unique stamped background and I have used the colours pictured below to create the background with the Paint Play stamped set. I have layered a few of the images to give a more finished look like the roses in Powder Pink and Rose Red inks and the daisies in Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight inks. I made sure to add some of the small leaves to roses in Wild Wasabi ink from the stamp set.

The sentiment was created using the Happy from Paint Play in Perfect Plum stamp set in and Anniversary from the Banners for You stamp set in Rose Red ink. This was punched out using the upcoming Everyday Label Punch available from September 1st. I stamped more of the smaller images to fill the punched shape and added a strip of Rose Red card stock to the back to make it stand out from the background. Now everything is looking really busy right? Well I simply added a strip of vellum adhered under the sentiment to break up the background and give some subtle white space while still seeing the stamped background. For that finishing touch I added a scattering of silver Metallic Enamel Shapes.

Just Add Text with a Whole Lot of Lovely Paper Card

I was in need of some therapy yesterday afternoon so I kept it simple and grabbed some the beautiful Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper and settled on using the Whole Lot Of Lovely set of papers. These Oranges with the blossoms just jumped out at me so I made sure I had a complete image in the piece I used and off we went.

I started by consulting the colour palette for these papers and luckily they are right on the pack and I settled on the main three in this piece of paper, Pool Party for the card base and Crushed Curry and Tangering Tango as accents. I searched my scraps of card stock in the two accent colours. Layered them with the trimmed piece of paper. I created the multi coloured sentiment from the Just Add Text stamp set by using the brush end of our Stampin' Write Markers to indivially colour each line and huff on it to hydrate the drying colours and stamping onto Whisper White card stock. I then cut out the sentiment and a larger Vellum layer using the Ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits in the Big Shot adhering they layers together and then to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Then finishing the card using Enamel Shapes in the three colours Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango.

Fly High - Up & Away Thinlits National Scrapbook Day 2017

I wanted to wish you all a very Happy National Scrapbook 2017 and to celebrate I wanted to share with you a recent scrapbook page that I made using the retiring Lift me Up Bundle and Layered Letter Alphabet. I created the embellishment column using the Lift Me Up Bundle which is retiring as bundle which you save 10% on but, the individual items - Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away Thinlits will be available in the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue separately.  I paired the Cupcakes and Carousel Paper Stack with the balloon builder pieces for a statement piece. The colours for the page where taken from the paper stack. I stamped the title using the Layered Letters Alphabet in Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay, Early Espresso, and Peekaboo Peach. To finish the layout added some Enamel Shapes to guide your eye move down the page.

To order any of the products used to make this card you will have to be quick as the items on the Retirement List are selling out fast, simply go to my SHOP NOW button above to go to my Online Store or contact me to place an order.  Don't forget to use this month's Hostess Code.

Dragonfly Dreams Bundle, Watercolor Pencils and Brushwork Alphabet Card

I made this card with a group of scrapbookers last weekend. I really want to show them how awesome our watercolour pencils can look as a background with some Emboss Resist using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set on Shimmery White card stock. I have added a You Tube video on how I made the background of the card below. I decorated the watercolour background with 2 layered dragonflies from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits cut in the Big Shot using Vellum and Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper. I added the Sentiment which is custom from the Brushwork Alphabet stamp set. I adore how the letters link up to give a perfect handwritten look. To finish the card I added some silver Metallic Enamel Shapes.

Carousel Birthday, Sweetheart Punch and Cupcakes and Carousel Card

I really adore this card and it really came to be from a stamping error. I stamped the Ferris Wheel from the Carousel Birthday stamp set in Calypso Coral ink and I either miss inked or miss stamped the middle of it. I pondered what to add to cover my mistake and grabbed my Sweetheart Punch and the Cupcakes and Carousel Paper stack and punch the heart from the argyle pattern, added it with Stampin' Dimensionals and added a liberal coating of clear Wink of Stella. I used my Blender Pen and Peekaboo Peach ink to colour the frosting on the cupcakes. I added this to the polka dot pattern from the paper stack on a Bermuda Bay card base. I added the Sentiment onto one of the labels from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits which I cut out in the Big Shot. I added some matching Peekaboo Peach enamel shapes and added it over a piece of Very Vanilla satin Ribbon to finish off the card.

Birthday Bright with Playful Palette Card

I really can say I am not a FAN of he Playful Palette Paper Stack. I bought it thinking it would grow on me and some of the pieces have but more multicoloured swirly ones haven't so challenged myself to use them and I do like the end result. I kept it simple by stamping the sentiment from Birthday Bright stamp set in Archival Black Ink on Vellum. I added some Emanel Shapes in the co ordinating colours - Emerald Envy, Blushing Bride and Sweet Sugarplum. I adhered the vellum by folding up some Glue dots by adhering them behind the enamel shapes. To finish the card  I added some of the co ordinating Ruched Ribbon to finish the card.
