Wood Textures Paper with Happy Birthday Thinlits 65th Birthday Card

Who is your hardest person to make a card for??
For me it is my Dad. It was his Birthday last week and it was a rather significant number so I wanted to show case that by using the Large Number Framelits long with the Wood Textures paper Stack that is perfect for masculine cards as well as just about any other type as well!

I started by using the Wood Textures Paper Stack. Next I cut the 65 and banner from the large Number Framelits in Island Indigo card stock and 2 Happy Birthday Thinlits in Tranquil Tide card stock as both the word are connected and you need to trim them apart on each piece to have them looking right. Using the Number of Years Stamp Set I stamped the "TH" in Tranquil Tide ink and the frame in Island Indigo ink. I arranged all these pieces on a piece of Vellum so they stood out from the busy background but you you can still see it as well. I adhered the vellum to the Wood Textures paper placing adhesive under all the numbers and words so it is not visible. To finish the card I matted the card from on some Early Espresso card stock and then onto a Crumb Cake card base.

Timeless Textures, Crazy about You with Large Number Framelits Guest Book

I was asked last year to decorate a Guest Book for a friend. I matched it to the card that I made for the same event that you can find HERE. I have kept it very simiar and used Smokey Slate, Basic Grey and Basic Black card stock and ink along with Whisper White Card stock. I added all the texture and background stamping using the Timeless Textures stamp set. I die cut the 40 in the Big Shot using the Large Number Framelits in Silver Glimmer Paper and stamped the "th" from the coordinating Number of Years stamp set. I stamped the Happy and Birthday from the retiring Crazy about You stamp set which is also retiring and punched out using the Classic Label Punch. The name was stamped with my favourite and will miss so very much Layering Letters Alphabet and added some sliver sequins as a finishing touch.

Mother's Day - Number of Years and Thoughtful Banners Card #JAI357

I am actually trying to be prepared and make Mother's Day card a number of weeks before the event. I have CASED myself for this card I made a few years ago for a fundraiser. For this card I have used the Number Of Years floral stamps to create the background using the coloured inks in this weeks Just Add Ink Colour Challenge #357 which is Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo and Sahara Sand on Thick Whisper White card. To create the sentiment I stamped the Happy and Mother's Day from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set in Island Indigo onto Sweet Sugarplum card stock which I punch using the Classic Label Punch.

To finish off the card I added Wink of Stella to all the flowers.

To order any of the products used to make this card, simply go to my SHOP NOW button above to go to my Online Store or contact me to place an order. There are still plenty of items

Timeless Textures with Number of Years Birthday Card

I am back from a huge blogging break!!! I had a few huge projects to complete but I hope to get back into the swing of sharing my projects with you.

This a card that I was asked to make for a Friend's Brother's 40th Birthday. I really do love making these types of special cards

To make this card I stamped the Timeless Texture stamp set in Layers on Whisper White card stock with Archival Basic Grey and Black and Smokey Slate inks. I stamped the 40 and Happy Birthday sentiments from the Number of Years stamp set with the same inks. I mounted the stamped piece to a Basic Black card base. To finish the card I stamped another panels for the inside to with on.

Gorgeous Grunge with Large Number Framelits Birthday Card

I was asked to make some commission items for a friends recently for her brothers birthday. This one is from her Daughter. I did channel my inner 10 year old to choose her favourite bright colours. I was informed that he loved that card.

To start the card I took rainbow coloured inks from the Brights collection Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry. I stamped these with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp down left side of 2 pieces of Whisper White card stock slightly smaller than card front the second one for the inside of the card. Next I die cut the 40 in Silver Glimmer paper with the Big Shot. To make the 40 pop I stamped a larger splatter from the Gorgeous Grunge Set in Bermuda Bay ink and attached the 40 over using Stampin' Dilmensionals. I stamped the Happy and Birthday from the Crazy About You stamp set in Archival Basic Black ink on matching card stock to where they line up on the card and punched them with the Classic Label Punch. The "TH" from Number of Years stamp set was also stamped in the same ink and matching card to the rainbow. I attached the Whisper White panel to a basic Black Card front. To add a finishing touch I added some silver sequins from the Sequin Trim with Glue Dots.

To order any of the products I have used on this project and more simply go to my SHOP NOW button above to go to my Online store or contact me to place an order.

I can also show you how to make this card at a party with you and your friends. Just contact me to organise a time to enjoy the amazing benefits our hostess can earn and spend on anything in our catalogues.

We Stamp for Lara - Number of Years Project Tutorial Fundraiser

Please join me in raising funds to help a lovely girl and her family.

Here is a little look at my project which went LIVE Today

Lara has Cerebral Palsy and also has Microcephaly, Epilepsy and a Vision Impairment. Her parents get up every night to physically move her so she does not get bed sores. They are in need of a self inflatable mattress. This mattress inflates and deflates so it moves her during the night.

We Stamp For Lara is 15 stamping tutorials over 15 days fro Stampin' Up! Demonstrator's (including ME!) for $15

Payment made by Direct Deposit or PayPal. Contact me via a pm for transfer details. Once done and we will add you to the FB group where you will be able to access the tutorials.

We Truely Appreciate your Help if you have Stampin Friends please feel free to share this post

Here is Lara's Story -
Lara was born on the 5th of November 2008. The fourth child of Mark and Madonna. She was different to her siblings. She looked different…she had twisted feet….she didn’t cry like the other babies. She didn’t move like them either. However, after a week in the nicu we were released to go home, with a paediatrician’s words ringing in our heads “She may or may not be normal, depending of if she does or does not reach developmental milestones.” She was given a diagnosis of Cerebral palsy at 5 months during a hospital stint to correct a floppy voicebox. During that stay she was also put on naso-gastric feeding (a tube down the nose and into her tummy). By one she had started having seizures and had a number of other “foibles”.
Over the last seven and a bit years Lara has had many hospital stays with a number of illnesses. She has been diagnosed as having a “life-limited” condition. We do not know what that means. We do know that she is unable to talk or walk. She cannot communicate via traditional words or even gestures as her ability to control her limbs is very limited. What she does do is convey her love through her eyes. She verbalises some sounds and is very quick to moan and whinge if she wants to be moved or has a full nappy!

Lara has a plethora of drugs each day to keep her seizure activity stable. This is mostly successful but a simple cold can be enough to put us in hospital for a little visit due to her compromised immunity and poor lung function. She needs to be moved into different positions to help her manage her secretions and to prevent pressure areas.

One of the items we are looking at fundraising for over the next few months is a better pressure mattress for Lara’s bed. She has a hospital bed that we are able to manoeuvre into various positions for her (tilt, height etc) but the mattress is very simple and we use an egg shell topper at the moment to assist in the pressure management. We (actually, Mark..mostly) move her from side to side during the night to alleviate the risk of pressure areas. An appropriate mattress can help with those risks.

We are so grateful to all of you for always being willing to put your hands up to help us to Help Lara. She is a delight and a blessing. If you have ever gazed into the depths of her gorgeous blue eyes you would understand she is a special little person in more ways than just her diagnoses.

Thanks for you support
