Over at Global Stamping Friends we are having a Special Anniversary Blog Hop. It is not very often that I give an anniversary card but it is very special time no matter what type it is. Today's card I have made a generic anniversary card ready for the next anniversary that comes up. I have used the Paint Play stamp set from Stampin' Up! which is quickly becoming a firm favourite of mine.
This whole card is stamped!!! I know it would have been easier grabbing a piece of our beautiful Designer Series Paper but I do love creating my own unique stamped background and I have used the colours pictured below to create the background with the Paint Play stamped set. I have layered a few of the images to give a more finished look like the roses in Powder Pink and Rose Red inks and the daisies in Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight inks. I made sure to add some of the small leaves to roses in Wild Wasabi ink from the stamp set.
The sentiment was created using the Happy from Paint Play in Perfect Plum stamp set in and Anniversary from the Banners for You stamp set in Rose Red ink. This was punched out using the upcoming Everyday Label Punch available from September 1st. I stamped more of the smaller images to fill the punched shape and added a strip of Rose Red card stock to the back to make it stand out from the background. Now everything is looking really busy right? Well I simply added a strip of vellum adhered under the sentiment to break up the background and give some subtle white space while still seeing the stamped background. For that finishing touch I added a scattering of silver Metallic Enamel Shapes.
