Stampin' Up! Geared Up Garage with Pigment Sprinkles and Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Card

We had a big event in our house, my eldest son turned 15 and this is the card I made him using the Stampin' Up! Geared Up Garage stamp set to say he is a little car obsessed is an understatement. One of his favourite colours is purple (he takes after me!) so I used Gorgeous Grape Pigment Sprinkes on Watercolor Paper and embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. I coloured the car using Highland Heather Stampin Blends popped it up on a Garage Gear Vellum tile cut. I personalised the inside using the Family Party Stamp set and Pattern Party Masks.  To see how this came together please check out my video.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Lane, Pattern Party Masks with 2019-2021 In Colors Card

I delved into my Use it Up Box and used this card base the I had sponged using the Stampin' Up! Pattern Party Masks that don't make the cut for a previous project but paired with the Daisy Lane Stamp Set and matching Daisy and Medium Daisy Punches and it worked perfectly. I added a few extras to this card including Floral Essence and Butterfly Wishes Stamp Sets, a touch of Vellum, Clear Faceted Gems and Purple Posy Stampin' Blends. Stampin' Up! Sheltering Tree, Pattern Party Decorative Masks and Embossing Paste Card

I never reach for my Stampin' Up! Embossing Paste enough and was sad to find my Shimmery White paste had dried out when starting to make this card but my White Embossing Paste was thankfully fine and I used to have it with the Pattern Party Decorative Mask to create a background and added a tree stamped in Vellum with the Sheltering Tree set and added a hill/ground using Stampin' Blends markers. Colours used: Shimmery White Card stock, Soft Suede, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green

Crafting Forever with Pick a Pattern Paper Z Fold Card

Today I am showcasing a Kids Card for the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop. My eldest son recently turned 13 and this is a difficult age to make a card for especially boys. My son loves Art and drawing and that was the what I based his card one.

To make this card I started with the card base of Thick Whisper White which I made into a Z Fold card and added an extra flap on the back to allow it to stand up. I made a mix with my Embossing Paste with Crushed Curry Reinker on my Silicone Craft Sheet mixed thoroughly and added a drop of Sahara Sand which I roughly mixed to give a grunge look and added to the card using the Pattern Party Decorative Mask brick design. While the paste was drying I chose the art design paper from the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper and added it to the front flap of the card  along with a thin strip of Basic Black card stock to define the panel. I stamped the pens from the Crafting Forever stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink onto vellum to form the base for the Emerald Envy card stock 13 which I cut using the Large Number Framelits in the Big Shot and attached over the Brick paste to finish the card.

Just Add Color Speciality Paper Z-Fold Card

The 30th July is a very popular day to be born in my family and friendship group and the were 2 very special ones yesterday. This is my cousins 21st card. I can say I was totally stumped the making this card. My mum and I could not find a stamp set that jumped out to us to work on this card, but as I was cutting up some final paper shares this feather pattern in Stampin Up! NEW Just Add Color Speciality Designer Series Paper pack jumped right out to me. Who says we need to stamp on every card anyway!!!

I was always making a Z Fold card to make it extra special, I used Thick Whisper White card stock and added an extra flap to the back of the card to make it stand up perfectly. I cut a small panel of the Just Add Color Speciality paper which is perfect to colour as it card stock weight and holds up well when colouring with an Aqua Painter. I watercolour washed the Feathers using an Aqua Painter in Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Flirty Flamingo and Calypso Coral inks. I also hand cut a few to of the feathers out and added them with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To make the textured background I mixed some metallic silver paint with Stampin' Up! Embossing Pasta and applied it over one the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Whilst that dried I cut the numbers out using the Large Number Framelits in the Big Shot in Calypso Coral card stock. I placed these on a silver foil 2" punched circle and a 2 1/4" punched Pool Party card stock circle.

To Finish the card I added an extra hand cut and coloured feather tucked behind the 21 and added a generous amount of Wink of Stella to all the popped up feathers.

Large Number Framelits, Shaving Cream and Embossing Paste 21st Card

I was voted to make this very special card by my family for my cousin who turned 21 yesterday. I checked the theme for the party and it was a beach a theme which was perfect as recently in a Team Meeting we did shaving foam technique with Dapper Denim and Pool Party reinkers so it went perfectly with this card for the water of the ocean.

 

I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire using the Z-Fold card design to make a portrait fold out card. I did add an extra little flap on the back so the card stands up all in Soft Sky card stock. To decorate the card I started with the background and used the NEW Embossing Paste from Stampin' Up! with the cloud mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks, while this was drying I did my stamping (the paste dried quicker than the time it took to prep the rest) I trimmed a piece of Vellum, the shaving cream piece and Sahara Sand card stock pieces to the width of the card and tore the tops of them to mimic the waves sea and sand. the Sahara Sand card stock piece is stamped with the dots stamp from the Timeless Texture stamp set in Sahara sand ink and the Grass stamp from the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set in Always Articoke ink and attached them to front flap of the card. The numbers were die cut in the Big Shot using the Large Number Framelits from Dapper Denim and Sahara Sand card stock layered then together and added under the sand layer. The happy birthday stamp came from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set in Dapper Denim ink and the frame also from the same stamp set in Sahara Sand ink and punched out using the coordinating Classic Label Punch. I added Wink of Stellar to the numbers to add an extra pop to finish the card.

Happy Birthday Thinlit and Pattern Party Decorative Mask Card

I have previously played with our NEW Embossing Paste and while I was making that card I made another card base using the paste and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks

To colour the Embossing Paste base I used our Sponge Brayers along with Tranquil Tide, Pacific Point and Soft Suede inks and used the same technique I have shown in this Video

I added 2 layered Happy Birthday Thinlits that I cut in Tranquil Tide and Soft Suede in the Big Shot using the Precision Plate on top of a Vellum Stitched Shapes Framelit circle. To finish the card I layered it on Thick Whisper White card base and a few layers of Whisper White card stock.

Just Add Text stamp, Pattern Party Mask with Embossing Paste Card #GDP090

I was so excited to receive my box full of new Stampin' Up! products from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue catalogue (I will share my goodies on a Facebook LIVE in a few days) I just want to break everything out and play right now but made the choice to play with our Pattern Party Decorative Masks and Embossing Paste. I paired this card with this week's Global Design Project 090 Sketch Challenge.  I started with a piece of Thick Whisper White  and my medallion stencil from the Pattern Party Masks, taped it down with some washi tape so it doesn't shift and skimmed over some Texture Paste using the Palette Knifes, lifted the mask and washed it off straight away so the paste doesn't set on it. The paste took about 20 minutes to dry and didn't warp as I used a thicker card stock.

On a piece of scrap Vellum I stamped the sentiment from Just add Text in Archival Basic Black ink, i dried it using the heat tool and coloured the reverse side wth Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Powder pink, Old Olive and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers I flagged the end of the Vellum using the Triple Banner Punch and adhered it using small dabs of glue. I embellished the crd using a piece of Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon which is just stunning and some Metallic Assorted Sequins. I layered tis piece on berry Burst card stock on a Basic Black Card base

* I did compare our Embossing Paste to another I had at home and found the Stampin' Up! paste to be not quite as thick as the other which did not effect how you use it. The final results was it is hard to tell which one is which I am extremely happy with.
