Fairy Celebration with Petal Burst and Swirly Scribbles using #GDP042

I have been itching to use this super cute Fairy Celebraton stamp set since I got it but life and other stamp sets got in the way. But today was the the play along with it and he Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #042

I started by stamping the Fairy in Stazon ink and and coloured it using our Blender Pen and   Peekaboo Peach, Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo and Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White card stock. I punched the image out using the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and edged it in Sweet Sugarplum ink. Using the Big Shot I used out NEW Petal Burst embossing folder with a piece of Soft Sky card stock and used the Swirly Scribbles largest die to cut out with Silver Glimmer Paper. I stamped the happy birthday stamp also from Fairy Celebrations in Soft Sky ink onto Blushing Bride card stock and punched using the Classic Label punch. I adhered the embossed piece to a Sweet Sugarplum card base and following the sketch adhered the Glimmer piece directly to the card and the Fairy and sentiment pieces using Stampin' Dimensionals. Next I stamped the fairy trail in Soft Sky Ink across the embossed piece. As a finishing touch I used clear Wink of Stella on the fairy wings and stamped trail to add a touch of whimsey.

Banners for You with Serene Scenery and Bunch of Banners Framelits Card

I am totally in love with this beach scene paper from the Serene Saying 6x6 Paper Stack. I made this card very simple to showcase it.

I started the card by trimming the 6x6 patterned paper to slightly smaller than card front. Next I stamped the double banner from Banners for You stamp set in Island Indigo ink onto a piece of Vellum and let it dry. Then I bent the words to match the banners on a clear block and stamped them in Crumb Cake ink once this was dry I cut the banner using the matching Bunch of Banners families in the Big Shot using the Magnetic Platform. I adhered this to the card by putting th adhesive behind the solid stamping. To finish off the card I wrapped some Linen Thread around the card above the sentiment to add some extra texture. The card front was the added to a Island Indigo card base.

Playful Backgrounds, Scenic Sayings Card with #GDP041

I really needed some crafty time to and decided to give this weeks Global Design Project Colour Challenge #041 a go and here is result.

I started the card with Thick Whisper White card front slightly smaller than a card base. I watered down some Sweet Sugarplum Ink and used the Aqua Painter to create a colour wash in the centre of the card front. I let this dry and used two of the stamps from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set in Night of Navy and Sweet Sugarplum. I used the Scenic Sayings Friend stamp in Night of Navy on Whisper White card stock and trimmed it out using out Paper Snips and also a piece of vellum slight larger than the stamped piece. I adhered the stamped piece and vellum together and using Stampin' Dimensionals attached the sentiment to the card. To finish the card I attached the card front to a Night of Navy card base.

To order any of the products I have used on this project and more simply go to my SHOP NOW button above to go to my Online store or contact me to place an order.

Sitting Here and Awesomely Artistic with Blender Pen Card

I am still so excited about the NEW 2016-2018 Annual Catalogue and am really loving setting aside time to just play with all the new products. This card predominately uses the Sitting Here stamp set. This card evolved a bit during the making process as I had to try to cover up some boo boos but I am very happy with the result.

I started by stamping the seat from Sitting Here in Chocolate Chip ink partially off a piece of Whisper White card stock that is slightly smaller than a card front. Using the flower from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set I stamped in the top corners of the card in Sahara Sand. I also stamped the shadow under the set from Sitting here in Sahara Sand. My last bit of stamping is the round an square cushions from the Sitting Here set in black StazOn ink on a scrap Whisper White card stock. Now to start colouring in and I used the Blender Pen for all the colouring. I stared with the chair using Chocolate Chip, the flowers in Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Cucumber Crush. The round cushion I used light wash of Sweetsugar Plum for the base and full strength for the details. I used the remaining 2016-2018 In Colours (Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo) to colour the square cushion. Next I trimmed the cushions out and ran a black marker around the cut edge to finish it off. To add some dimension to the cushions I ran our  stylus around the back edges of both on a Stampin' Piercing Mat and added a Stampin' Dimensionals and adhered the cousins to the seat overlapped. I finished the card by adding the sentiment from Sitting Here in Sweetsugar Plum and adding the card front to a Thick Whisper White card stock card base.

Floral Phrases with Detailed Floral Thinlits Thanks Card

I adore the laser cut style of the Detailed Floral Thinlits and I have paired it with the co ordinating stamp set Floral Phrases for simple card yet striking card.

I started the card by taking a piece of Dapper Denim card stock the size of a card front. I used the 2 Detailed Floral Thinlits dies with the Precision Plate on the Big Shot and used the Big Shot Die Brush to remove all the pieces. Next stamped the thanks sentiment from the Floral Phrases in Dapper Denim Ink onto a strip of Vellum let it dry or you can use your Heat Tool on setting 1. I attached the stamped piece of vellum around the Dapper Denim piece attaching it to the back of the piece. I then attached it a Thick Whisper White Card Base. As a finishing touch I added a few White Perfect Accents.

Thoughtful Banners, Affectionately Yours Specialty Paper with Copper Metallic Thread #GPD040 Card

I am totally in love the the Affectionately Yours Specialty Paper in the NEW 2016-2017 catalogue and have already used it on a scrapbook page but had to make a card with it as well. I paired this card with this weeks Global Design Project #040 CASE the Designer challenge.

I started the card by choosing the 2 patterns from the Affectionately Yours Specialty Paper. I used the Watermelon Wonder pattern on the background attached to Night of Navy Card base. Next I trimmed down piece of the copper foiled floral pattern and matted it onto Mint Marcon card stock and attached it to the Watermelon Wonder patterned piece. For the sentiment I stamped on of the banner stamps from Thoughtful Banners in Watermelon Wonder on Watermelon Wonder card stock and punched out with the Duet Banner Punch. Next I took the Celebrate word also from Thoughtful Banners and curved it on a clear block and stamped in Night Of Navy ink into the punched banner. To finish of the card I took a coil of Copper Metallic Thread and attached it using Glue Dots to the back of the banner. I attached the finished banner to the card using Stampin' Dimensional to the middle of the banner and Glue Dots to the ends to give it a nice bend.

Sunshine Sayings with Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Card

I really adore the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and just had to play with them over the weekend. I love how well they co-ordindinate with the Sunshine Saying Stamps.

I started by choosing the colours Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry for no other reason other than I often neglect the Regal colours. I die cut the flower and sunshine word in Elegant Eggplant and Island indigo as well as both in Whisper White from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits using the Bight and Precision Plate. I glued the colour pieces to the white die cuts with both of them slightly off set to create some interest and dimension. I stamped a Whisper White card stock layer 1cm smaller than the card base in all 3 colours Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry ink with Gorgeous Grunge stamped in full and stamped off. I adhered the flower first to the stamped layer and then the sunshine word across the card. I stamped the sentiment in Island Inigo Ink on to a scrap of Crushed Curry card stock and punched it out with the NEW Classic Label Punch I shortened the punch size by reinserting it and re punching one end and adhering it to the stamped layer under the die cut word. To finish off the card I matted the stamped layer onto a a piece of Crushed Curry 1/2 cm smaller tham the card base and finally onto a Thick Whisper White card base.

Scenic Sayings and Serene Scenery Paper Stack Card

I adore the photo realistic papers in the Serene Scenery Paper Stack and how easily you make simple but beautiful card especially when paired with the Serene Sayings Stamp Set.

I have used a stamp from the Serene Saying stamp set on the Dandelion paper from the Serene Scenery 6x6 Paper Stack. I stamped the stamp in Versamark directly onto the patterned paper trimmed to size of a card front and coated it with White Embossing Powder and melted it with with out Heat Tool. I forgot to use the Embossing Buddy on this card so I did have a few stray pieces of powder. I added the patterned paper piece to a Thick Whisper White card base and to finish off the card added a few gold sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment glued with Tomboy Multi Purpose Glue.

You've Got This, Diagonal Stripe, Perfectly Wrapped Card with WWYS #67 and GDP #039

I have a confession the You've Got This stamp set has long been neglected on my stamp self since last year, I even had a friend recently mention I should use it more and low and behold it was the stamp of the What Will You Stamp? challenge blog this week and I have teamed it up with the Global Design Project theme challenge - Get Well Soon

To start the card I stamped the flower from the You've Got This stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink on Thick White card stock. I then took 3 of our NEW 2016-2018 In Color Ink Pads - Sweet Sugar Plum, Emerald Envy and Peekaboo Peach. I used our Blender Pens to colour in the flower. Next I took our new Diagonal background stamp and Ombre Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. When using the Ombre Ink pad I ensured to ink up the stamp in a circular motion so you don't get the harsh lines of the individual colours in the pad. For the last layer I took a strip of Sweet Sugarplum card stock and stamped it with the dots from the Perfectly Wrapped in Sweet Sugarplum ink. I layered these stamped pieces together on a Thick Whisper White card stock. I stamped the sentiment from You've Got This onto a piece of vellum in Rich Razzleberry ink and wrapped that around the card to finish it off.

Mixed Borders, Papillon Potpourri, Perfectly Wrapped Card with Global Design Project #038

I have been struggling with my mojo and time this week. So have taken on the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #038 to help me climb out!! and I am fairly happy with the result

I started by grabbing the Mixed Borders Stamp Set and the new 2016-2018 In Colours. I stamped the flower border in Sweetsugar Plum, Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo directly next to each other on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Next I took the leaf border and stamped it with Emerald Envy on top of the flower Borders. They are made to work together!!! I adhered this piece to a Thick Whisper White card base. I then took the Sweet Sugarplum card stock and made it the height of my card base and measured from the border piece to the edge of the card base to get those pieces the right width. I stamped the circle stamp from Perfectly Wrapped set in Versa Mark ink over both Sweet Sugarplum pieces. When I placed these pieces against the border stamping I felt they really clashed so I added a piece of vellum over the border stampin adhering it in the break in the border. This really helped a lot. I adhered the dot stamped pieces with NEW Foam Adhesive Strips (these are double the height of our Stampin' Dimensionals) to each side of the vellum covered border. I stamped the sentiment from Mixed Borders set in Dapper Denim on Dapper Denim card stock. I quickly covered this in clear embossing poor and melted it to give a touch of shine. this was punched out with this with the 1 3/4" Circle punch and matted it on a 2" circle punched Peekaboo Peach and Vellum and adhered them all together with Fast Fuse and to the card with triple layer Stampin' Dimensionals so it is higher that the Sweet Sugarplum pieces. As a final touch I stamped a butterfly from Papillon Potpourri in Dapper Denim ink onto vellum and covered it Clear embossing powder again to match the sentiment and punched it out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch and shared it using a Glue Dot folded in half.
