Watercolor Lifting with Heat Embossing with Friendly Wishes and Flower Patch Stamp using Mojo Monday 438 with Video

I have used one of the left over Watercolor Lifting with Heat Embossing piece from the last card which is a technique I saw Jennifer McGuire do a few weeks ago and tweaked it to work for me. I used this weeks Mojo Moday Sketch to complete the card.

I stared this card with the Watercolor Lifting with Heat Embossing technique. I have done it little differently to the original but the result is the same. Starting with a piece of Watercolour Paper and took some of our reinkers in Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red and Melon Mambo and an Aqua painter and liberally applied the colour making sure to blend where the colours met. When this was dry (if you are impatient you could use your heat tool) I mounted a number of flowers and leaves from the Flower Patch and Floral Wings Stamp Sets inked them with Versamark and covered in Clear embossing powder and melted the powder with the Heat Tool. To make this technique what it is I wet the entire watercolour piece and let it sit for a bit and mopped it off with a paper towel (repeat this step if necessary). This reveals a lighter background and the darker heat embossed embossed images. I stamped the sentiment from Friendly Wishes stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink on Whisper White card stock. Next I took Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red and Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Markers and coloured the heart and friend in the sentiment. Then I cut the Black Colour Me Irresistible paper with a Circle Framelts using the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform which I adhered to a Whisper White piece slightly smaller than the Basic Back card base. I added the Watercolor Lifting with Heat Embossing piece as per the sketch and matted the sentiment piece on a piece of Basic Black card stock and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals. For a finishing touch a added 3 Melon Mambo It's my Party Enamel Dots.

You can watch how I made this card on Katch.

Sunburst Thinlits with Feel Goods and Balloon Celebration Stamp using Global Design Project #025 with VIDEO

I have given the Global Design Project Colour Challenge #025 (Smokey Slate, Basic Grey and Daffodil Delight) a go this afternoon with a few Periscope friends. I had a the idea to make a stormy sky with sun rays as soon as I saw the colours.

To start I cut 2 Sunburst Thinlits on in a Whisper White and Daffodil Delight on the Big Shot using the Magnetic Platform. I took a Thick Whisper White card base and the white Sunburst using it as a mask and sponged the card base with Smokey Slate Ink making sure it is not smooth and blended as I wanted to give it some texture. Next I put the mask aside and stamped the clouds from Balloon Celebration in Basic Grey Archival Ink. Now onto the sentiment I chose the sunshine one from the Feel Goods stamp set in Basic Grey Archival ink on Whisper White.  I cut the sentiment and a piece of Silver Foil sheet with Circle Framelits in the Big Shot using the Magnetic Platform. To add a touch of shimmer I used Clear Wink of Stellar on the Grey clouds in the background then I sponged the sentiment and Sunburst with Daffodil Delight ink. To put it all together adhered the Sunburst and Foil Circle flat to the card and the sentiment with Dimensional Adhesive. Some single silver sequins from The Silver Sequin trim finished off the card.

You can watch how I made this card on Periscope till 3pm 5th March or Katch anytime.

Rose Wonder Stamp, English Garden Paper and Honeycomb Mojo Monday 431 Birthday Card

I have been trying really hard to use the Honeycomb Embellishments from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue and finally did this afternoon.

To start this card I took the Mojo Monday sketch and planned the paper I wanted to use. I decided on the English Garden paper as it most closely suited the Blushing Bride Honeycomb Embellishment. Next I chose  patterns from the paper. The stripe I trimmed to fit a Thick Whisper White card base. I cut a strip of the smaller floor pattern and used my Circle Framelits, Big Shot and Magnetic Plate to cut a rose from the third pattern paper. I then used my 2 1/2" circle punch to punch a piece of Old Olive scrap card stock. I edged all these pieced with Soft Suede ink to give then definition. Next I arranged the pieces including my Honeycomb Embellishment and adhered the all down using Snail and Dimensionals on the rose circle. I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from the Rose Wonder stamp set again using Soft Suede ink. To finish off the card I added Candy dots in matching colours as well as White Perfect Accents and a touch of Wink of Stella on the rose to make it shimmer and pop.

A change of pace today and a masculine card ready for my husband birthday this week.

I started this card with Mojo Monday sketch #430. I chose papers from the Going Places Paper Stack and adhered the Thick Whisper White card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then stamped the birthday boy sentiment from the Sale-a-Bration Hello stamp set in Lost Lagoon and flagged the end of the paper strip. and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals. Next I stamped the Lucky Stars stamp from the Going Global stamp set in Delightful Dijon on Very Vanilla card stock and adhere it before the Birthday Boy using Snail Adhesive. Also using the Going Global stamp set I stamped the compass in stamped off Sahara Sand and the heart in Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla card stock and matted it on Lost Lagoon with Snail adhesive and adhered the piece with Stampin' Dimensionals to finish off the card.

It's My Party Paper, Confetti Embossing, Party Pop-Up Thinlits Birthday Card with Mojo Monday 429

Can I just say I am totally addicted to the products from the It's my Party Suite of products in the 2016 Occasions Catalogue and here is card that I combined these products along with Mojo Monday Sketch 429

To make this card I went straight to the It's My Party Designer Series Paper and chose the 3 patterns I wanted to use. Next I grabbed a Mint Marcon card base and embossed it using the Confetti Textured Embossing Folder in the Big Shot. While I had the Big Shot out I took a piece of Melon Mambo Card stock and cut it using the Party Pop-Up Thinlits with the Precision Plate and my Crushed Curry Patterned paper with the Circle Framelits. Now to arrange and adhere the patterned paper according to the sketch. To add a shimmer to the Party Pop Up ( that we are using flat and not popping up) I used our NEW Clear Wink of Stellar Glitter Brush over the whole piece and attached it to the Circle using the Fine Tip Glue Pen. To add a finishing touch I added a few It's My Party Enamel Dots.

Party Wishes and Party with Cake, Party Pop-Up Thinlits and It's My Party Paper Birthday Card

I am loving the Birthday Theme in the upcoming Occasions Catalogue the is LIVE on January 5th 2016 and here is Pop-Up card to Celebrate

To start this card I chose the piece of It's My Party Designer Series Paper I wanted to use with my Birthday Cake Stamp from the Party Wishes stamp set that I stamped in Crushed Curry and then added the sentiment over it in Melon Mambo and candle in Mint Macaron. I then cut it out on the Big Shot with our Circle Framelits and also cut larger circle in Sahara Sand and adhered them to my piece of It's My Party Designer Series Paper on a Melon Mambo card base. Next is to make our pop-up piece. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock slightly smaller than the Melon Mambo card base and score it in the middle. Using the Party Pop-Up Thinlits die I lined up the tabs with the score line on the Precision Plate and ran it though the Big Shot. I used the Big Shot Die Brush next to remove all the bits out of the die and paper. To add a bit of colour to the pop-up piece I have stamped some confetti, sprinkles and a sentiment from the Party with Cake stamps in Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron and Melon Mambo Ink. Now to pop the middles up using the score lines mountain valley and simply adhere it to the inside and you have a fun detail to a bright birthday card.

Woodland Embossing Folder, Lovely as Tree and Holiday Fancy Foil Vellum and Christmas Greetings Thinlits Christmas Card

I have seen this Stamping on Embossing Folders Technique before and
I have now finally tried it.

I started with a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock for the card base. To create the Embossing Folder piece I started by inking the the negative side with Soft Sky then stamped Lovely as a Tree in Mossy Meadow. I then carefully added a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot then used our Circle Framelits to cut a piece of the embossed piece and Soft Sky to matt it on.

I next took our Holiday Fancy Foil Vellum and Attached it to a piece of Whisper White Card Stock to make it pop on the Mossy Meadow background.

Finally to add some sparkle I added a piece of Glitter Ribbon and cut the word Peace in Silver Glimmer Paper from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits.

Awesomely Artistic, Wondrous Wreath and Perfect Pennants Christmas Card with Mojo Monday Sketch 419

I have been wanting to make Christmas Bush from the Awesomely Artistic set since I got it. It is an incredibly versatile set.

I started by stamping the flowers in Crumb Cake and them coloured the flowers and leaves using a blender pen and Real Red, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. Then I cut it out using the Circle Framelits in the Big Shot.

I have used the Silver Diagonal paper from the Neutrals Colour Collection Paper and polka dots from the Perfect Pennants to add a touch more red and sentiment from Wondrous Wreath with Old Olive and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers and just a touch more silver with Cording Trim.
