Stampin’ Up’ Merriest Trees & Iconic Celebrations Mono Chronmic Christmas Card

I made a commitment earlier a few weeks ago to make Christmas Cards for this weeks card I paired together the Stampin' Up! Merriest Trees stamps and dies with the Iconic Celebrations Designer Series Paper in a Recent Video. These 2 products are available on the Online Exclusives.

I chose to keep this card Monochromatic following the lead of the Mood Mauve Paper with the tree, ink and blending. I added the base die and Stampin' Blends to ground the tree. I embellished using the Faceted Gems Trio & Pearl Trio.

 This month's October SU! Colour Challenge is soft and beautiful - For this months challenge I grabbed one of my neglected stamps - Pansy Patch worked perfectly for those month with some soft blending and the Distress Tile 3D Embossing Folder.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Lane, Butterfly Gala and Stitched Label Dies Use It Up Box Card

I thought it was time to delve into my Use it Up Box of Stampin' Up! goodies and get some of it used up and make a start to finish process video while I was at it. I managed to use 4 piece - The Daisy Lane stamped sentiment, Butterfly Gala stamped Vellum butterflies that were punched using the Butterfly Gala Punch, Stitched Labels Die Vellum label and last but not least the blue Ink Blended Watercolor Paper. I did add some splatter to my Thick Whisper White card using Stampin' Write Markers to bring all the elements and colours together.

Irresistibly Yours Speciality Paper, May Flowers Thinlits #CTD431

I adore the colours in this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge #431 and it was set by one of my favourite crafters Amy Rysavy. I cased the card from one I saw in my Pinterest scrolling by Carol Payne. I am trying really hard to use and #loveitchopit with all my Designer Series Paper before the end of the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue. I have used the Irresistibly Yours Speciality Paper along with the Ink Blending Technique without the splattering in Garden Green and Mint Macron ink to reveal the beautiful emboss resist pattern on the paper. I took the beautiful May Flowers Thinlits and cut some out in Perfect Plum and Garden Green using the Precision Plate in the Big Shot and Die Brush. I stamped the sentiment  Big on Birthdays on Vellum in Soft Suede and attached it with the help of the Metallic Enamel Shapes to add some shine.

Ink Blended Watercolor Wings Card #CI04 #FMS76 #SIP87

Sometimes it just takes a while to percolate an idea, the current Colour INKspiration #04 is one of those. The colours we have to play with are Crushed Curry, Delightful Dijon, Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White - this is not my kind of combo, so it took me a few days and choosing a stamp set to make the ideas flow. I have paired the card with this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #276 and Stamp, Ink, Paper #87 Challenge - Kindness. I decided to make an Ink Blended Watercolor Paper background and I have a video below showing how I achieved this look. I used the smaller butterfly in the Watercolor Wings stamp set and used all 4 layers in the set to create it. I have also explained the stamped layers in the video below. The sentiment is also from the same set and used the Banner Triple Punch to flag the end.
