So after making my wreath card using the Painted harvest stamped set from Stampin' Up!, I have finally made this card they way that stamp was indeed to be used to make a watercolored sunflower card. As a teenager I always bought a bunch of sunflowers at the shops, so this stamp set really brings back memories.
\
I started by stamping the flower centres in Soft Suede ink as this makes it easier to line up the flower layers onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Next I stamped the most solid flower in So Saffron twice twisting the stamp on the second stamping to make the flower look fuller. For the second flower layer I stamped in PeekaBoo Peach ink. I added the detailed leaves stamps in Pear Pizza and Old Olive inks. To finish off the stamping I added the sentiment also from Painted Harvest stamp set in Soft side ink as well as the flower centre details. I wrapped some Linen Thread around the card front which I layered on vellum and finally onto a Soft Suede card front.
