Night of Bethlehem and Stitched Rectangle Framelits Christmas Stampathon 2019 Card

Welcome back to the Christmas Stampathon 2019 with three of my Demo buddies Ruth Trice 'Artful Stampin' from the UK, Denise Garrison 'Lady Bug Stampin' from USA, Rosalie Desmond from Australia. Our February Challenge is to Stamp a Background - your choice of item - make 4 or more to get ready for Christmas. You all have till March 24th to get your entries in and play along.

As soon as I knew this months challenge was a Stamp a Background challenge I wanted to use the Stampin' Up! Night Of Bethlehem Stamp Set specifically the Buildings. I used Generation/ Stamping Off to create dimension to the background and also spritzed it with Frost White Shimmer Paint that is mixed with Rubbing Alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer to create a shimmery effect. The sentiment is from the same stamps and cut in the Big Shot using the Stitched Rectangle Framelits and for a surprise?! I used a vellum layer to frame the sentiment and let the stamping still be seen. For the inside of the card I used the same building and another sentiment from the Night of Bethlehem stamp set.

Night Of Bethlehem Stamps Christmas Ornaments

I decided to case myself to make these Night Of Bethlehem Christmas Ornaments from one I made last year. I used the Circle Layering Framelits to create all 3 layers. The Whisper White circle I stamped the buildings in stamped off Fresh Fig ink and added the motifs which I stamped in the same ink on Vellum. I added the Sliver Edged Ribbon before assembling by stapling it to the back scalloped piece and covered it with a punched circle. These were perfect gifts to pop in a card and are perfect to remake and have ready to go.

Night in Bethlehem Christmas Decoration

Today I am participating in the Global Stampin' Friends Blog Hop and it's all about Anything but Cards, which is perfect as I have been creating some simple decorations using the Night in Bethlehem stamp set from Stampin' Up! I was inspired to make this decoration to match a CARD I made a few weeks ago using the same set.

To make this card I started by choosing 3 circle sizes from the Layering Circle Framelits set and dies cutting the 2 circles from Whisper White card stock in the Big Shot, I also die cut the coordinating scallop dies with Fresh Fig card stock. Using Fresh Fig ink I stamped the Shepherd and Mary and Joseph stamp into the 2 smallest circles adding the Star stamped off to them. I grounded both these images using the lightest shade of Smokey Slate Stampin' Blends alcohol marker softening it with the Color Lifter. For the largest Whisper White circle I stamped the buildings in stamped off Fresh Fig ink and added the sentiment which I stamped in the same ink on Vellum and also cut using the Layering Circle Framelits. I adhered the stamped circles to the scalloped circles and attached Fresh Fig Finely Woven and Gold 1/8 Ribbons together to the back of the circles sandwiching them with another Fresh Fig card stock circle to complete the project.

Night in Bethlehem Back & White with Fresh Fig Christmas Card

Today I am participating in the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop which is themed Black, White + 1. My chosen plus ONE is Fresh Fig which one of the 2017-2019 In Colours from Stampin' Up! and I paired these colours with the Night in Bethlehem stamp set from the 2017 Holiday catalogue.



I started this card my doing all the stamping I used Versamark ink which leaves the most perfect watermark to stamp the buildings repeatedly on the Fresh Fig card stock card front adding the Shepherd and his Lamb in the bottom right from the Night in Bethlehem stamp set. I also stamped from the same stamp set Mary, Joseph and the Donkey in Basic Black Archival ink on Whisper White card stock which I then die cut using the Bethlehem Edgelits dies in the Big Shot, I also die cut 2 Stitched Shapes Framelits using the squares in Whisper White and Fresh Fig card stocks. I arranged these elements into the stamped card front using Stampin' Dimensionals for the White Square Layer and stamped Mary, Joseph and Donkey. I attached the Fresh Fig stamped card front to a Thick Whisper White card base to completed the project.

Night in Bethlehem Versamark Resist Christmas Card

I was up for a challenge over the weekend and dove into the latest Stampin' Up Colour Challenge and boy was it a challenge to us the Stampin' Up! Colours - Cajun Craze, Tranquil Tide, Sahara Sand and Sweet Sugarplum. I paired these oculars with the Night of Bethlehem Bundle from the 2017 Holiday catalogue and lots of Vellum

I started this card with the piece of Glossy card stock and stamped the buildings stamp and the stars in Versamark ink from the Night in Bethlehem. While that was drying I die cut the buildings from the Bethlehem Edgelits in the Big Shot from vellum and sponged them using Tranquil Tide and Sahara Sand inks placing them aside to dry. Going back to Glossy Paper make sure the Versamark ink is dry I added Sweet Sugarplum ink to the Sky and Cajun Craze to the ground blending and dating them into each other. Where I have stamped in Versamark ink resists the ink sponged over it. I adhered the dried vellum buildings to the Glossy card stock and stamped the sentiment from the same Night in Bethlehem stamp set in Cajun Craze on Vellum. I matted the card from on Sahara sand card stock and a Sweet Sugarplum card base.

Night Of Bethlehem Colour Challenge GSF Card

Today I am participating in the Global Stamping Friends Colour Challenge Blog Hop. The colours for the challenge are Whisper White, Smokey Slate, Pool Party and Night of Navy, I have paired the with the Night of Bethlehem stamp set in the 2017 Holiday Catalogue from Stampin' Up!

I started the card by stamping the buildings in Smoky Slate ink onto Whisper White card stock, stamping off each row of buildings to create a city. Next I stamped Mary, Joseph and the Donkey in Night of Navy ink as well as the sentiment. The main star and sell as the smaller stars in Pool Party stamping off some them as well. For a final touch to the card front I sponged the edges of each section in the matching ink colour. Finally matching the card from onto Night of Navy card stock then a Pool Party Card base.
