Deck the Halls - Carols Of Christmas Bundle Card

I really love the tradional Christmas colours of red and green, but my christmas tree is not traditional and I love it just as much. I used my favourite decorations from my tree as inspiration for this card along its Stampin' Up! carols Of Christmas bundle that is available a month ahead of the holiday Catalogue next month.

This card came together really easily. I started by stamping the decorations across the top of the card and the sentiment from the Carols Of Christmas stamp set in Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla card stock. I then stamped a number of ornaments onto scraps of Very Vanilla card stock in Powder Pink, Pool Party and Sweet Sugarplum ink. Using the Big Shot and the Card Front Builder Thinlits I cut all the coloured ornaments and attached them to the card using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I matted the card front with Sweet Sugarplum card stock and a Pool Party card base.

Just Add Text with a Whole Lot of Lovely Paper Card

I was in need of some therapy yesterday afternoon so I kept it simple and grabbed some the beautiful Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper and settled on using the Whole Lot Of Lovely set of papers. These Oranges with the blossoms just jumped out at me so I made sure I had a complete image in the piece I used and off we went.

I started by consulting the colour palette for these papers and luckily they are right on the pack and I settled on the main three in this piece of paper, Pool Party for the card base and Crushed Curry and Tangering Tango as accents. I searched my scraps of card stock in the two accent colours. Layered them with the trimmed piece of paper. I created the multi coloured sentiment from the Just Add Text stamp set by using the brush end of our Stampin' Write Markers to indivially colour each line and huff on it to hydrate the drying colours and stamping onto Whisper White card stock. I then cut out the sentiment and a larger Vellum layer using the Ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits in the Big Shot adhering they layers together and then to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Then finishing the card using Enamel Shapes in the three colours Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango.

Peace on Earth Carols Of Christmas with Striped Treat Bags Card

The Stampin' Up! gold foiled Striped Treat bags are so luxurious and special and make anything you put in them that bit extra special. Today I cut one up to used a layer on my card.

I started this card by cutting up a treat bag and using the front portion cut to slightly smaller than a card base. In the Big Shot I created a border on the bag layer using the border Thinlit from the Card Front Builder Thinlits. Also using the Big Shot I cut some Always Artichoke card stock for the trees and Soft Suede card stock for the deer which had also been stamped in the same ink using the same Thinlits.  I stamped the Peace on Earth sentiment in Cherry Cobblerink onto Vellum and cut it and a larger square using the Stitched Shaped Framelits one again in the Big Shot, adhering them using tiny dabs of liquid glue behind the letters. I using Stampin' Dimensionals to where the single tree and deer to the card. I then adhered this Whole piece to a Thick Whisper White card base.

Crafting Forever with Pick a Pattern Paper Z Fold Card

Today I am showcasing a Kids Card for the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop. My eldest son recently turned 13 and this is a difficult age to make a card for especially boys. My son loves Art and drawing and that was the what I based his card one.

To make this card I started with the card base of Thick Whisper White which I made into a Z Fold card and added an extra flap on the back to allow it to stand up. I made a mix with my Embossing Paste with Crushed Curry Reinker on my Silicone Craft Sheet mixed thoroughly and added a drop of Sahara Sand which I roughly mixed to give a grunge look and added to the card using the Pattern Party Decorative Mask brick design. While the paste was drying I chose the art design paper from the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper and added it to the front flap of the card  along with a thin strip of Basic Black card stock to define the panel. I stamped the pens from the Crafting Forever stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink onto vellum to form the base for the Emerald Envy card stock 13 which I cut using the Large Number Framelits in the Big Shot and attached over the Brick paste to finish the card.

Birthday Delivery with Birthday Memories Paper Card

I sat down at my craft desk yesterday and just flicked though our beautiful Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper and waited to see what jumped out and the Birthday Memories sure did that. I used two of my favourites. This suite really reminds of Golden Books which take me right back to me childhood memories

I started to make this card by choosing the background paper which I think is just adorable and whimsical with the hand drawn look, this is layered in 2 of the co ordinating colours Sweet Sugarplum on a Soft Sky Card Base. The other Paper that I took the rabbit from is one that has all the characters sprinkled on the page. I hand cut the rabbit and didn't include the candles on the cake in the image, instead I stamped the banner from the Birthday Delivery stamp set on Vellum using Early Espresso ink and one of the co ordinating sentiments in Pacific Point ink. I cut it out the Big Shot using the Birthday Friends Framelits and attached it behind the cake. The bunny and banner piece I attached to a Stitched Circle Framelits which I cut from Vellum and using the Big Shot again. I shaped the Banner using my Bone Folder and attached it to the card using both varieties of our Stampin' Dimensions.

Carols of Christmas Card and Early Release

I am very excited for Christmas to come Early this year in the form of The Carols Christmas Bundle that is available a WHOLE MONTH EARLY ahead of the release of the Holiday Catalogue next month. I am totally in love with the font of the sentiments in the set and also the dies they are just so versatile. Here is a card that I have made using just the Carols of Christmas stamps in the Bundle along with the with Hardwood Stamp Set

I started this card by stamping the Hardwood background stamp in Sahara Sand ink on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped the Deck the Halls sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink also on very Vanilla card stock and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits in The Big Shot and layered it with a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock also in the Big Shot using the layered Square Framelits. I added the accent stamp piece above and below the sentiment in Always Artichoke ink as well as the cluster of ornaments on the hardwood stamped paper in the same ink. The "the" from the sentiment is stamped on Always Artichoke card stock in matching ink which I hand trimmed out and adhered over the Cherry Cobbler one. I stamped a second cluster of Ornaments in Cherry Cobbler ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock and cute them out in the Big Shot using the coordinating Card Front Framelits  adhering them using Mini Dimensionals and coated using the Fine Tip Glue Pen to give some sheen and shine.

Just Add Color Speciality Paper Z-Fold Card

The 30th July is a very popular day to be born in my family and friendship group and the were 2 very special ones yesterday. This is my cousins 21st card. I can say I was totally stumped the making this card. My mum and I could not find a stamp set that jumped out to us to work on this card, but as I was cutting up some final paper shares this feather pattern in Stampin Up! NEW Just Add Color Speciality Designer Series Paper pack jumped right out to me. Who says we need to stamp on every card anyway!!!

I was always making a Z Fold card to make it extra special, I used Thick Whisper White card stock and added an extra flap to the back of the card to make it stand up perfectly. I cut a small panel of the Just Add Color Speciality paper which is perfect to colour as it card stock weight and holds up well when colouring with an Aqua Painter. I watercolour washed the Feathers using an Aqua Painter in Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Flirty Flamingo and Calypso Coral inks. I also hand cut a few to of the feathers out and added them with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To make the textured background I mixed some metallic silver paint with Stampin' Up! Embossing Pasta and applied it over one the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Whilst that dried I cut the numbers out using the Large Number Framelits in the Big Shot in Calypso Coral card stock. I placed these on a silver foil 2" punched circle and a 2 1/4" punched Pool Party card stock circle.

To Finish the card I added an extra hand cut and coloured feather tucked behind the 21 and added a generous amount of Wink of Stella to all the popped up feathers.

Fabulous Flamingo Card

Confession time I was not a huge fan of this Fabulous Flamingo but I received it at our Stampin' Up! ON STAGE event in April and I am now a convert and loving this set.

I made this card for a recent class and I even converted a few of my class attendees as well.  I managed to use the whole stamp set on this card. I started by stamping the Flamingo stamping off Berry Burst,  Powder Pink and Early Espresso inks on Whisper White card stock. I added the water stamp in Marina Mist and Grass in stamped off Tranquil Tide ink. I added the palm fronds to the Lemon Lime Twist Twist card base once again using Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime twist ink also stamping off some of them. I also added some fronds on the flamingo layer as well that I then layered it on a Powder Pink card stock mat. To finish the card I added a bow in the 2017-2019 Powder Pink Finely Woven Ribbon.

Lovely Inside & Out Card

Only as I blog this card did I realise that I made this card with the title of the stamp set Lovely Inside & Out from Stampin! Up!,  I actually used the whole Bundle which saves you 10% to created this card which I made a for class on the weekend. My class attendees loved this card and especially love the Tangerine Tango used in the card really made the whole project pop

To create the background I took the thumb print type stamp and did generation stamping in Dapper Denim, Pear Pizzaz and Tangerine Tango on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Next I die cut a window in the card using the co-ordinating Lovely Words Thinlits in the Big Shot using the Precision Plate. I backed this window with a scrap of Dapper Denim card stock from my stash of paper.  To the word Lovely I added "Inside & Out" from the Inside & Out stamp set in Dapper Denim ink onto Pear Pizazz card stock and flagged the ends using the Triple Banner Punch with the NEW Mini Dimensionals. The stamped card front was matted on a piece of Tangerine Tango card stock and then adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base. To add some sparkle and shine to the card I scattered a few Glitter Enamel Dots to the project.
