Fabulous Flamingo - SDBH Case the Catty

Today I am playing along with the Stampin Dreams Blog Hop where we are Casing the Catalogue. My inspiration came from Page 101 of the Stampin' Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue where I love the perspective of the card looking into the circle with that flowers on the side. I have substituted the flower for our beautiful Fabulous Flamingo stamp set.

I started by choosing my colours and of course pinks were in order with Berry Burst and Powder Pink but I changed it up a bit with a touch is Sweet Sugarplum. I took all these colours card stock and the circles from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and cut descending circles with the Big Shot, to create the perspective of looking into the card rather than it jumping off the surface. Using the water and grass stamps also from the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set I added in them Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi. The layers were adhered together and then using Stampin' Dimensionals to attached to a Thick Whisper White card base. To stamp the flamingo I started with the most complete image in stamped off Berry Burst, the solid body in Power Pink ink and finally the body and leg outlines in Early Espresso. Then I hand cut out the image and attached it using Stampin' Dimentionals. I finished off the front of the card by stamping the sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum ink onto Whisper White card stock and flagged the ends with the Triple Banner punch. I also finished off the inside if the card with the stitched circles left over from the front of that card adding another sentiment from the same stamp set in Berry Burst ink.
