Cupcakes and Carousel, Layered Letters Banner

I adore making things for and with my Granddaughter Ivy and I just couldn't resist making a banner for her room. Many of the products I have used are saying Retiring on May 31st - Cupcakes and Carousels Designer Paper Stack, Carousel Birthday, Layered Letters Alphabet, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon and Calypso Coral Baker's Twine. I stamped the balloon from Lift me Up and Layered Letters on Vellum. The Clouds also from Lift Me Up and Carousel Birthday were stamped directly onto the patterned paper. I cute the patterned Paper with the Layering Circle Framelits along with co ordinating card stock in Early Espresso, Peekaboo Peach, Calypso Coral, So Saffron and Bermuda Bay Scallop circles. I added the holes with our hand held punches and treaded with the Baker's Twine and added the Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon bows to finish the banner off.

A Note for You - Eastern Beauty Stamp set - Eastern Palace Suite Card

This card started as a Disaster and I think I saved it? I was trying to get this background effect but wasn't lining up the stamp right so I made it work for another kind of background instead a bit more of a organic look. I have used Lemon Lime Twist, Dapper Denim and Fresh Fig for all my stamping using the Eastern Beauty stamp set on Very Vanilla card stock and a Dapper Denim card base.

These are two Eastern Palace Bundles Available exclusively during May 2017

Scenic Sayings Embossed Stamp with Urban Underground DSP Card

After a very long day yesterday I needed a Masculine Tank You card and wanted to keep it simple so I grabbed the retiring Urban Underground Speciality Paper from the Occasions Catalogue. I chose the X foiled speciality piece and some inverted tiny polka dot patterns to keep it really simple. I silver embossed using Versamark ink the Thank You sentiment from Scenic Sayings which is also retiring to be the hero of the card. I complimented it with a strip of Silver Foil Paper layered with another piece of the patterned paper.

A better look at all the silver details.

Timeless Textures, Crazy about You with Large Number Framelits Guest Book

I was asked last year to decorate a Guest Book for a friend. I matched it to the card that I made for the same event that you can find HERE. I have kept it very simiar and used Smokey Slate, Basic Grey and Basic Black card stock and ink along with Whisper White Card stock. I added all the texture and background stamping using the Timeless Textures stamp set. I die cut the 40 in the Big Shot using the Large Number Framelits in Silver Glimmer Paper and stamped the "th" from the coordinating Number of Years stamp set. I stamped the Happy and Birthday from the retiring Crazy about You stamp set which is also retiring and punched out using the Classic Label Punch. The name was stamped with my favourite and will miss so very much Layering Letters Alphabet and added some sliver sequins as a finishing touch.

Baby Bear Bling Card

I was honoured too be asked by a work college to make a baby shower card for her sister, my brief was very pink and lots of bling. I am happy to say she was delighted with this card. I have used the Baby bear stamp set along wth Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo inks. I also stamped the bow from the same set and colours. I covered the bow in Fine Tip Glue and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds into it for shine and sparkle. I layered the Baby bear image onto Melon Mambo card stock and Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper. I embossed the Pink Pirouette layer using the Sparkle Embossing Folder in the Big Shot, I added another strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper across the embossing and wrapped some Melon Mambo Bakers Twine which is retiring at the end of the month, wrapping it an Thick Whisper White card base.

A close up of the shine and bling

Carousel Birthday Collage Card #GDP085

Today I tried something a little different and out of my comfort zone. I had seen lots of people use the Carousel Birthday stamp set to create a collage which is something I never thought to do with this set. I have paired this with the Global Design Project Challenge 085 - Colour which was to choose 3 of the retiring 2015-2017 In Colors. I chose Tip Top Taupe Cucumber Crush and Delightful Dijon, I will miss these colours but not sure I have used them as a combo, they are really quite masculine together. I used the stamping off technique to create more interest to these 3 colours and added a 2015-2017 In Colour Doilies to ground the sentiment which I stamped on vellum. To finish the card off I placed it on a Tip Top Taupe card base and added a sprinkling of Metallic Enamel Shapes.

Mother's Day - Number of Years and Thoughtful Banners Card #JAI357

I am actually trying to be prepared and make Mother's Day card a number of weeks before the event. I have CASED myself for this card I made a few years ago for a fundraiser. For this card I have used the Number Of Years floral stamps to create the background using the coloured inks in this weeks Just Add Ink Colour Challenge #357 which is Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo and Sahara Sand on Thick Whisper White card. To create the sentiment I stamped the Happy and Mother's Day from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set in Island Indigo onto Sweet Sugarplum card stock which I punch using the Classic Label Punch.

To finish off the card I added Wink of Stella to all the flowers.

Kinda Eclectic, Crazy About You, Hello You Thinlits Card

This card has to be an all time favourite. I have used all retiring products that I will truely miss on this card. The Crazy About You stamp set is top of the list I will also miss the co- ordinating Hello You Thinlits. I adore the effect that you get stamping and sponging over the coated Affectionately Yours Speciality Designer Series Paper which I done here with the sun ray stamp from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and sponging the same ink amongst the rays as well. as a final touch o the touch I punched out some Silver Glimmer Paper stars using the Confetti Star Border Punch.

Watercolour Wings One Layer Card

I found another treasure in my card samples box. I have no idea how many years ago I made it but is it still a favourite. I stamped 2 butterflies from the Watercolour Wings stamp set, pink butterfly in Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry, the blue butterfly is a little harder for me to decipher, I think i used Marina Mist,  Island Indigo and Not Quite Navy which is long retire that  you could substitute with Dapper Denim. I added the dots in Crumb Cake and the sentiment on piece of Marina Mist card stock which I flagged the end using the Triple Banner Punch to cover some previous miss stamping.

Layered Letters, Tin of Cards and 2015-2017 In Colours Smile Card

I have delved into my card box and found a few cards I have neglected to share with you all. I made this card as part of my catalogue launch way back in 2015 and most of the products used are now on the retiring list. I have used the 2015-2017 In Colors Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macron, Delightful Dijon, Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush which are still available in a pack of 5 inks and card stock in A4 and 12x12 assorted packs. I stamped the SMILE sentiment from the Layered Letters which are also saying goodbye over the in colours overlapped circles in Basic Black Archival Ink.  I added a strip of the co ordinating Envelope Paper also on the retirement list which is still available under the co-ordinating card stock which I flagged the ends with the staying Banner Triple Punch. As a finishing touch I added some Baker's Twine and an older matching embellishment.

Thanks - Life Me Up Bundle with Cupcakes and Carousel DSP Card

This card has to be one of my favourites that I made as a Display Stamper back at November's OnStage Live in Brisbane last year. I had the detailed Hot Air Balloon left over from a previous project. I put it up against my favourite argyle pattern from the Cupcakes and Carousels and it got a bit lost so I attached it to a piece of vellum to tone down paper. I simply added a sentiment from the matching stamp set punched out using the Classic Label Punch over a piece of Very Vanilla Thick Baker's Twine.

Big On Birthdays, Watercolor Pencils on Vellum and Floral Boutique Paper Card

I am always happy to earn free stamps and I was able to get the beautiful Big on Birthdays stamp set recently and this stamp instantly stood out to me and I just had to play with it. I stamped the sentiment on Vellum in Night of Navy and clear embossed it using the Heat Tool. The flowers were crying out for some colour so I took my Watercolour Pencils and coloured the back of the vellum and I adore how it turned it when backed with Whisper White card stock. I layered the card with Floral Boutique Pattered paper and for a Finishing touch some Basic Pearls.

Carousel Birthday, Sweetheart Punch and Cupcakes and Carousel Card

I really adore this card and it really came to be from a stamping error. I stamped the Ferris Wheel from the Carousel Birthday stamp set in Calypso Coral ink and I either miss inked or miss stamped the middle of it. I pondered what to add to cover my mistake and grabbed my Sweetheart Punch and the Cupcakes and Carousel Paper stack and punch the heart from the argyle pattern, added it with Stampin' Dimensionals and added a liberal coating of clear Wink of Stella. I used my Blender Pen and Peekaboo Peach ink to colour the frosting on the cupcakes. I added this to the polka dot pattern from the paper stack on a Bermuda Bay card base. I added the Sentiment onto one of the labels from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits which I cut out in the Big Shot. I added some matching Peekaboo Peach enamel shapes and added it over a piece of Very Vanilla satin Ribbon to finish off the card.
