Serene Scenery with Scenic Sayings and Detailed Dragonflies Card #GDP080

I have had a head cold this week so I am keeping it simple with my cards, it's all my foggy brain can handle. I took on this weeks Global Design Project 080 Case the Designer - the designer is the amazing Louise Sharp. I was inspired my neglected stamp set Scenic Saying and the congrats stamp sun rays that I took the Serene Scenery Paper Stack design with the matching rays to use s my background. I stamped the congrats in Delightful Dijon ink on Whisper White card stock and cut it out using Stitched Shapes Frameilts as well a vellum circle in the larger size. I also took the bee from Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits and cut it in the Big Shot using the Precision Plate out of vellum and coloured it with Delightful Dijon Ink. I added a off cut of the Serene Scenery paper and added the reverse pattern to ground the sentiment.

Close up of the sentiment cluster.

I used the off cut from the Paper Stack to decorate the inside of the card using a sentiment from Banners for You on Vellum punched out with the Banner Punch.

Bunch of Blossoms and Serene Scenery Paper Card with GDP074 & CI03

I went through my stamp sets the other day and pulled out a few I have not used in a while and decided to use the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set first as it suited the current Colour INKspiration Challenge on Facebook and I paired it with this weeks Global Design Project 074 Sketch Challenge.

The inspiration photo is beachy so the Petals and starflower suited the colours of Peekaboo Peach, Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Soft Suede and Whisper White. I stamped various layered images in the colours that can mimic shells and sea elements. The simplicity of the Global Design Project sketch this week it suited my idea perfectly. I used the banner framelits layered for the focal element and finished the element with Linen Thread. I layered this over a piece of patterned paper from the Serene Sayings Designer Series Paper Stack #loveitchopit.

Banners for You with Serene Scenery and Bunch of Banners Framelits Card

I am totally in love with this beach scene paper from the Serene Saying 6x6 Paper Stack. I made this card very simple to showcase it.

I started the card by trimming the 6x6 patterned paper to slightly smaller than card front. Next I stamped the double banner from Banners for You stamp set in Island Indigo ink onto a piece of Vellum and let it dry. Then I bent the words to match the banners on a clear block and stamped them in Crumb Cake ink once this was dry I cut the banner using the matching Bunch of Banners families in the Big Shot using the Magnetic Platform. I adhered this to the card by putting th adhesive behind the solid stamping. To finish off the card I wrapped some Linen Thread around the card above the sentiment to add some extra texture. The card front was the added to a Island Indigo card base.

Scenic Sayings and Serene Scenery Paper Stack Card

I adore the photo realistic papers in the Serene Scenery Paper Stack and how easily you make simple but beautiful card especially when paired with the Serene Sayings Stamp Set.

I have used a stamp from the Serene Saying stamp set on the Dandelion paper from the Serene Scenery 6x6 Paper Stack. I stamped the stamp in Versamark directly onto the patterned paper trimmed to size of a card front and coated it with White Embossing Powder and melted it with with out Heat Tool. I forgot to use the Embossing Buddy on this card so I did have a few stray pieces of powder. I added the patterned paper piece to a Thick Whisper White card base and to finish off the card added a few gold sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment glued with Tomboy Multi Purpose Glue.
