Stampin' Up! Playful Backgrounds, Handwritten and Itty Bitty Birthdays Card made LIVE Take 2

I recently found some more stamped scraps to add to my "use it up box" so I grabbed out some that I have using the Stampin' Up! Playful Backgrounds and Handwritten stamps that the I originally generated making THIS card. I added in the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set to these pieces as well. I made these cards on a Facebook Live video below and really just winged it putting them together as I had no ideas what to do with with. I kept with the original colours of Coastal Cabana, Night of Navy and Lovely Lipstick and using many of my circle punches. I really enjoy challenging myself to use my "use it up box" items. Stampin' Up! Playful Backgrounds and Picture Perfect Birthday Masculine Birthday Card

I was talking to you about how versatile the Stampin' Up! Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set was yesterday and here I have used one the sentiments paired with the Playful Backgrounds to make a simple but striking Masculine Birthday card. I kept the colour platte really simple using Gray Granite, Basic Black and Whisper White. I off set stamped the background using Staz On Jet Black ink and Gray Granite using the stripes from the  Playful Backgrounds stamp set. I also used Staz On Jet Black ink to stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White card stock. I layered both the background and Sentiment with the corresponding colours cardstock to add some impact to the card. Would this card be perfect for someone in your life?

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala and Flowering Desert Card

I had so many Vellum and Foil butterflies left over from this project using the Butterfly Gala Bundle and I just needed to get them used and off my desk so I attached all the butterflies to Glue Dots to make the process of attaching them easier. I used the sentiment from the Flowering Desert stamp set. I also used Playful Backgrounds and Sunshine Sayings stamp sets for some background interest. In This World, Playful Backgrounds, Cupcakes & Carousels DSP with #GDP078

I apparently have a thing for using butterflies at the moment, this butterfly is from the In This World stamp set. I have used this week's Global Design Project #078 Sketch Challenge and the colours from the Cupcakes & Carousels Paper Stack. I started by stamping the butterfly in Archival Basic Black Ink, next I took the Watercolor Pencils and coloured in the butterfly with the colours below to match the paper stack blending them with the Aqua Painters. I cut out the image using the Stitched Shapes Framelits in the Big Shot, I also cut out a larger circle from Bermuda Bay in the Glimmer Paper Assortment in the Sale-a-Bration brochure. I stamped the Playful Background stamp on Calypso Coral card stock in Versamark Ink to give a subtle effect. I added patterned paper from Cupcakes & Carousels Paper Stack and the ombre Calypso Coral ribbon from the Cupcakes & Carousel Embellishment Kit. To finish the card I added Wink of Stella to the butterfly for a subtle shine.

Hey, Chick, Playful Backgrounds with Watercolor Pencils Card

I was challenged by a dear friend of mine and fellow demonstrator Rosalie Desmond to, in her words " use the ugly chicken set" aka Hey, Chick from our 2017 Sale-A-Bration Brochure. So I took it on and had a little look at Pinterest and was inspired by a Card from Michelle Last. I stamped the Chicken onto Watercolour Paper with Archival Basic Black Ink and coloured it using our Watercolor Pencils by scribbling them on the image with and blending them out and together with Aqua Painter. The colours I have used are pictured below. I created the soft ground and sky background by scribbling into a scrap piece of paper and picked up a light wash of colour from the scrap paper - also pictured below. I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits in the Big Shot to cut and frame the image and Bermuda Bay mat.

The background stamp is from Playful Backgrounds set, it reminds me of feathers and food left on the ground which I have stamped in Veramark ink on Crumb Cake card stock. I added some Linen Tread tied in a bow as a final touch.

Watercolour Pencils and scrap piece of Watercolor Paper I scribbled on to create a softer colour wash.
