Christmas Pines with Be Merry Paper Treat Bags

Welcome to the 3rd Installment of the Christmas Challenge Stampathon 2018 with three of my Demo buddies Ruth Trice 'Artful Stampin' from the UK, Denise Garrison 'Lady Bug Stampin' from USA, Rosalie Desmond from Australia. Our March is Challenge is to make  2 at least 2 Foldable Treat Bags that you can store flat ready for Christmas.

For my sample I have used Striped Treat Bags for the base of original and in th video sample I have used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit to create my bag from the Sale-A-Bration Springtime Florals Speciality Paper. For the first embellishment on the bag I used a strip of the Be Merry Paper along with a strip of the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate as the base and I flagged both the ends using the Tailored Tag Punch. I added the Metallic Foil Doilies over this with a punched circle of Emerald Envy card stock and the Banner from Mini Treat Bag which I Silver Embossed using the Noel Sentiment from the Christmas Pines stamp set.

My second sample is made using the Mini Treat Bags Framelits and Springtime Foils Paper from Sale-A-Bration with the same embellishment! And HERE is the video of my making it

Carried Away Sale-A-Bration Paper, Lift Me Up #FMS279

I needed inspiration today to get my mind into gear to make a set of cards, I used this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #279. I wanted to use my Sale-A-Bration Carried Away Paper before it goes away on the 31st March, 2017. I love the colour combo in the paper and matched my stamping of the Lift Me Up stamps to, using Mint Marcon, Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Night of Navy Inks. I also used the Banner Triple Punch to flag the ends of the base strips. I tried to keep it clean and simple whist using all the layers of paper.

In This World, Playful Backgrounds, Cupcakes & Carousels DSP with #GDP078

I apparently have a thing for using butterflies at the moment, this butterfly is from the In This World stamp set. I have used this week's Global Design Project #078 Sketch Challenge and the colours from the Cupcakes & Carousels Paper Stack. I started by stamping the butterfly in Archival Basic Black Ink, next I took the Watercolor Pencils and coloured in the butterfly with the colours below to match the paper stack blending them with the Aqua Painters. I cut out the image using the Stitched Shapes Framelits in the Big Shot, I also cut out a larger circle from Bermuda Bay in the Glimmer Paper Assortment in the Sale-a-Bration brochure. I stamped the Playful Background stamp on Calypso Coral card stock in Versamark Ink to give a subtle effect. I added patterned paper from Cupcakes & Carousels Paper Stack and the ombre Calypso Coral ribbon from the Cupcakes & Carousel Embellishment Kit. To finish the card I added Wink of Stella to the butterfly for a subtle shine.

Delicate Details, Petite Petals with Sponge Brayer - #CI05 #WWYS106

Well I jumped the gun and made a Wedding Card for an April Blog Highlight and silly me used Sale-A-Bration sets that will not be current in April. So here it is, I started with a piece  of Whisper White card stock treated it with the Embossing Buddy and stamped two of the Lace stamps from Delicate Details lining them up on my clear block using my Quick Tip Video, stamped in Versamark Ink and coated in White Embossing Powder and melted with the Heat Tool. I Sponge Brayered over the embossing with this fortnights Colour Inspiration 05 colours - Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, Blushing Bride. Making sure they are overlapped to get a good blend. I have a Quick Tip Video below on how easy the ink blending is.

I stamped the flowers from Petite Petals is Sahara Sand Ink and sponged the middles in Blushing Bride ink, I punched them out using the matching Petite Petals Punch. The sentiments from Thoughtful Banners was stamped on Soft Sky and punched out using the Classic Label Punch. I added the three flowers which had curled up to give them dimension and coated the in Wink of Stella and added 3 small Basic Pearls to the centre of each.

I took the Any Occasion stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration and stamped and embossed in White on Vellum and added 2 more Petite Petals flowers to finish the card.

Delicate Details and Awesomely Artistic Card #GDP077 #WWYS106

Another neglected stamp set got some love today - Awesomely Artistic. I was inspired by a card by Melissa Kerman on Pinterest. I am using the Global Design Project 077 Colour Challenge (see the colours and extra I chose below) I am also playing with What Will You Stamp? Challenge #106 - Delicate Details Sale-a-Bration Set which I used stamped off Early Espresso to frame a Whisper White card front. I collaged the images from Awesomely Artistic in my challenge colours with some of the images stamped off to add depth to a very flat card front. Finally I stamped the oval frame and word also from Awesomely Artistic and placed it on some Stampin' Dimensionals to finish the card front.

Balloon Builders with Sale-a-Bration Glimmer Assortment Pack #WWYS105

I had a BBB (Big Brown Box) arrive a few days ago it was full of some card stock and other essentials that I was getting low on but I could not wait to break into my 6x6 Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack #loveitchopit which is one of the NEW FREE Sale-a-Bration items for every $90 you spend in an order till 31st March 2017. I made an Ink Smooshed Background using Soft Sky and Pool Party on Shimmer Paper. I have a video below showing how I do this with our Window Sheets. I used this week What Will You Stamp? #105 Challenge - Balloon Builders. I stamped the Balloons in the 3 colours in the Glimmer Paper - Bermuda Bay, Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macron. I really like how they look transparent just like my favourite type of balloons. You can add any of the colours of glimmer paper to match the balloons as your next layer. I added Smokey Slate ink strings and sentiment and a a tied knot of Metallic Ribbon also a FREE Sale-a-Bration item to finish the card.

Hey, Chick, Playful Backgrounds with Watercolor Pencils Card

I was challenged by a dear friend of mine and fellow demonstrator Rosalie Desmond to, in her words " use the ugly chicken set" aka Hey, Chick from our 2017 Sale-A-Bration Brochure. So I took it on and had a little look at Pinterest and was inspired by a Card from Michelle Last. I stamped the Chicken onto Watercolour Paper with Archival Basic Black Ink and coloured it using our Watercolor Pencils by scribbling them on the image with and blending them out and together with Aqua Painter. The colours I have used are pictured below. I created the soft ground and sky background by scribbling into a scrap piece of paper and picked up a light wash of colour from the scrap paper - also pictured below. I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits in the Big Shot to cut and frame the image and Bermuda Bay mat.

The background stamp is from Playful Backgrounds set, it reminds me of feathers and food left on the ground which I have stamped in Veramark ink on Crumb Cake card stock. I added some Linen Tread tied in a bow as a final touch.

Watercolour Pencils and scrap piece of Watercolor Paper I scribbled on to create a softer colour wash.

Card Tin Organisation with Brushwork Alphabet and Carried Away Paper

I hope you have been enjoying all the projects I have been posting this month. I recently did some organising of my cards and found I over 25 projects that had not been blogged so I took one of my Tin of Card Boxes and gave them a home until they appear here on my Blog. This tin was in last year's Annual Catalogue, but you can earn a Gold Card Tin as part of Sale-a-Bration 2017 for every $90 you spend in an order. I personalised the tin using the Brushwork Alphabet stamp set with Night of Navy ink. The Carried Away Designer Series paper that I have used you can also earn as a part of Sale-A-Bration. I made the flagged shapes using the Banner Framelits in the Big Shot for a final touch added a few Enamel Shapes in the co-ordinating colours and the bow using the Sale-a-Bration Metallic Ribbon Combo.

So Very Much, Banners for You and Affectionately Yours Paper Card

The Thank You from the So Very Much stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration brochure makes the perfect hero to any card. For this card I double stamped the Thank You to create a shadow in Night of Navy ink.  I added the scroll from the Banners for You to finish the sentiment on Crushed Curry ink. I created the background using scraps of my Affectionately Yours Speciality Designer Series Paper and added to it a Thick Whisper White card base.

Carried Away with Carousel Birthday Card

I am playing with this week's Freshly Made Sketches #275. Looking at the sketch the Carousel birthday Ferris Wheel jumped out at me. I also grabbed the Carried Away FREE Sale-a-Bration paper to pair with it. I kept it fairly simple. I stamped the ferris wheel on both pieces of patterned paper in Night of Navy and also the cupcake tops in Peekaboo Peach from the Lift Me Up stamp set. I cut the Smokey Slate paper ferris wheel and all the cupcake tops with the Layered Circle and Up & Away Framelits in the Big Shot. I added the 2 paper strips to finish the card front and layered it on Night of Navy and a Watermelon Wonder card base to finish.

Suite Sentiments with So Detailed Thinlits Pocket Card

It is rare that I use purple and I have no idea why since it is favourite colour. This card is one from last months Launch and I certainly went all out with the soft, girly and purple. I have paired the Suite Sayings stamp set with So Detailed Thinlits cut twice and attached to a piece of Perfect Plum card stock to create a Pocket card with lots of little details using Products from both the 2017 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Catalogues.

The Vanilla card is two pieces of card stock stuck together and slides in and out. On the front side I embossed in Falling Petals Embossing Folder with sentiment stamped from Suite Sentiments and the back is stamped with another sentiment from Suite Sentiments and the borders from the Delicate Details in the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue. The finishing touches are the stunning Falling in Love Embellishments which are already Vanilla and Metallic Ribbon Combo to close the two Thinlits dies.
